patience would change everything.
if we were presented with the “three wish scenario” what would it be? let’s say…a million dollars? world peace? and patience. oh, the money would take some worry away, the world peace would quiet things down a bit to say the least, but with patience….what clarity there would be. many of us have a list of things we don’t understand, that even money and world peace would still not explain. if fact, the reality is as long as humanity is around we better get use to it. just at first blush with patience think of the improvements on road rage, drive-thru windows, little brothers, and noisy neighbors, nearly miraculous. think of the marriages saved, the parent and child relationship improvements, and the patience we would have with ourselves. we may never be presented with the “three wish scenario” but when we think about what we might hope for in our lives we can still apply our Christian principles for a better chance at changing things for ourselves and others. watching God’s patience with us is nothing short of miraculous. and of course, we are not Him, we can never be Him, but we aren’t expected to be. we are only asked to try. if we all read his word and just started with ourselves the impact for personal peace is heavenly!
